La Galerie L’Onyx a le plaisir de vous inviter au vernissage de l’exposition “Impressions naturelles” réunissant les artistes québécoises suivantes Marie Bilodeau, Mathilde Bois, Soon Ja Park et Susan G. Scott le vendredi 5 septembre 2025 à partir de 17h00.
Cette exposition propose une exploration du lien profond entre l’homme et la nature, en mettant en lumière les émotions, sensations et pensées que suscitent les paysages. Chaque œuvre devient une expérience sensorielle unique, ponctuée de moments de silence et de résonance, où les jeux de lumière et d’ombre façonnent des atmosphères particulières. Les œuvres de Susan G. Scott, profondément ancrées dans la peinture de paysage en plein air, capturent cette relation intime avec la nature, tandis que Mathilde Bois interroge la place que l’humain a pris dans son milieu naturel. Influencée par le nouveau matérialisme, Marie Bilodeau explore l’expérience haptique du corps dans des écosystèmes vivants ou résiduels. Enfin, les lignes de Soon Ja Park, apparaissant de manière aléatoire, illustrent l’émergence d’un phénomène perpétuel qui ouvre des perspectives infinies, invitant à une réflexion sur l’interconnexion des éléments.
Ce vernissage sera également l’occasion du lancement du catalogue Susan G. Scott: A Painter’s Story / Histoire d’une peintre, récemment publié sur la pratique de Susan G. Scott, incluant un essai de Mathilde Bois.

The Onyx Gallery is pleased to invite you to the opening of the exhibition “Natural Impressions”, featuring the following Quebec artists: Marie Bilodeau, Mathilde Bois, Soon Ja Park, and Susan G. Scott, on Friday, September 5, 2025, starting at 5:00 PM.
This exhibition offers an exploration of the deep connection between humans and nature, highlighting the emotions, sensations, and thoughts evoked by landscapes. Each work becomes a unique sensory experience, punctuated by moments of silence and resonance, where plays of light and shadow shape particular atmospheres. The works of Susan G. Scott, deeply rooted in plein air landscape painting, capture this intimate relationship with nature, while Mathilde Bois questions the place humans have taken in their natural environment. Influenced by new materialism, Marie Bilodeau explores the haptic experience of the body within living or residual ecosystems. Lastly, the lines of Soon Ja Park, appearing randomly, illustrate the emergence of a perpetual phenomenon that opens infinite perspectives, inviting reflection on the interconnectedness of elements.
This opening will also mark the launch of the catalogue Susan G. Scott: A Painter’s Story / Histoire d’une peintre, recently published on Susan G. Scott’s artistic practice, including an essay by Mathilde Bois.
